  • Forget Me Not

Our children volunteer their time as 'agents of change' at our local dementia respite group called the Forget Me Not Club.

We visit every other week and invite them to our school to spend time together. These experiences help our children grow into thoughtful, respectful and socially aware individuals while making a genuine difference in their wider community.

For older people living with dementia, spending time with children can be incredibly positive, and we see the joy on their faces.

Our children learn to understand and respond kindly to people who may think, move, or communicate differently, helping them become more caring and considerate. Being part of a community project helps children feel proud of giving their time and making a positive difference to others’ lives.

Music, games, and conversation create moments of happiness for both the children and the dementia group, showing the power of connection across generations.

We hope the photos below capture the positive difference these special moments have made, bringing smiles and joy to everyone involved.
